Executive Director

The position covers all aspects of office and production management for a summer chamber music festival that has been in continuous operation for 54 seasons.  Applicant should have experience in business management and fiscal stewardship, be highly organized and task oriented, be able to transform strategy into action, and possess a knowledge and love for classical music to better engage a very astute and passionate patron base.  Considered a ¼ time position with the bulk of the work in June, July and August. 

THE POSITION INCLUDES: 

Handling all communication via phone and the web from volunteers, subscribers, donors, patrons, artists, vendors, and advertisers.  Coordinating all communication and activity between the bookkeeper, production manager, music director, and board. Working closely with the bookkeeper, treasurer, and music director to maintain positive cash flow and stay on budget.  Processing all cash receipts from all sources of income.

Handling all aspects of customer service from advance ticket sales, donor acknowledgement and cultivating prospective supporters.  Working to ensure each patron’s concert experience is a total pleasure.

Leading all concert production activity including the design and printing of season brochure and program book, selling Northeast Kingdom ads and coordinating sales of ads in the Burlington area, distributing advance tickets and programs to subscribers, placing all print, radio, and virtual ads for concert season, arranging hall rentals, coordinating piano moving and tuning, and being the “face of the CCP” at all concert venues.
